8 Week Triathlon Beginners Course

A fun group coaching program designed for beginners in triathlon.

The program is built around the BRATs schedule, so that you can train with mates and have fun, including a group coaching plan, continuous monitoring and an online chat group. Sessions are held in Centennial Park and Bondi Beach.

The next Try A Tri course starts will be launched in 2024, delivered by our training coaches and partners - John Hill, Britt Welander and Swimlab, with the following key features:

  • 8 week program across swim, bike, run and socialise by internationally experience coaches

  • Master transitions and learn tips about race strategy

  • Train in a social environment

The schedule will be:

  • Monday 6am Ocean Swim*

  • Wednesday 6am Run (long)

  • Thursday 5.45am Ride (bike skills)

  • Thursday evening - SwimLab optional pool squad at additional cost**

  • Friday 6am Run (speed)

What do you need to bring? A bike, swimmers, googles, runners and a desire to get fit and make new friends. The team can help you with anything else you may want (and yep, you can skip a session if you need to). At the completion of the course, you will have the option to participate in the December BRAT Sprint race.

The cost for the total program includes coach advice and an 8 week trial membership with the BRAT Club).
