Our club races are held every month at Heffron Park, Maroubra on a traffic free course and fully sanctioned by Triathlon New South Wales. We hold triathlons (swim, bike, run) in summer and duathlons (run, bike, run) in winter, and offer sprint, enticer and junior distance races. These are family friendly events where anyone is welcome to race in a low pressure environment for the first time and prepare for an upcoming A-race.
Cedric Sidebottom (Cedo) was a founding father of our BRAT club and we hold an annual run in his honour to celebrate the contributions he made to our wonderful club.
A chance for all BRATs both old and new to come together and have a fun run and exchange stories over a few drinks and a sausage sizzle.
The Cedo Run is held on the first Sunday in February, from 4pm at Bronte Surf Club.
For more information on Cedo and the history of the BRAT Club, see the history section above.
The NSW Club Championships, held every year around March/April, are renowned as a weekend of fierce racing and even fiercer partying. This is a weekend where all triathlon clubs in NSW go head to head and individuals earn points towards their club, rather than an individual result.
This is one of BRATs main events every year and a chance for a fun weekend away with team mates. Held at the end of the racing season, Triathlon Australia puts on an official after party and presentation, where the real champions are decided on the dance floor.
More information on Club Champs will be released closer to the time.
