*** NEWSFLASH***
there is a chance that the new batch of amazing club
clothing will be in stock in time for the race.... will keep you all posted, keep your fingers crossed :) some awesome stuff ....
currently available items are at 3Sports in the City if you would like to
have a look at what is there (there is also some stock with Scott our
clothing coordinator so if they don't have what you need give us a buzz). suitable items available might be :
* brat visors - very cool - brat blue with logo across front
* men's "aero" tops - no pic on website for some reason but think these are the white fitted singlets with pockets for gels etc?
* cycling jersey... contraversial as running gear
* girls cosies - if you don't fear having your belly out, the top is great
to run in.... I have been known to wear it over the top of a singlet. My
belly does not belong in public.
PRE-RACE PLANS
We have very kindly been provided with our usual meeting spot for BRATs just 100m from the startline : just far enough that EVERYONE can do a warm up jog back behind the start line with your TIMING CHIPS on in time for the gun to go at 9am and your start time to register.... meet at :
58 Yurong St, East Sydney at the offices of "Crichton-Browne, Crossley" courtesy of Harry Karlikoff and David Hodgess (Thanks guys!). Open from 7.30am with the following :
* Toilets available* Drinks, tea, coffee, biccies on offer * Free Bag transport for BRAT members to North Bondi SLSC- Truck will leave
at 8.15 am (TBC)
POST RACE PLANS
PHASE 1 : Head to North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club and look for the BRAT tent out the front. Fruit & rehydration here and a quick debreif with other runners!
* BRATS who ran for the club will be given a blue BRAT bag to enhance their bratiness fingers crossed we can recruit a masseuse .... we are working on it but if you know anyone let me know
PHASE 2 : head upstairs at NBSLSC where you will find
* showers * sausage sizzle & alcohol for sale
PHASE 3 : head for the Bergs at about 3pm
