Coaches that are members of the BRAT Club (not in any prefered order)
Tony Golden - Level 1
Dave McAlpin - Level 2 Cycling & Triathlon (Long serving member of the BRAT club)
I'm a Level 2 Cycling Coach (since 1992) and Level 2 Triathlon Coach (since 1995) but came from a running background. I coach because I enjoy the challenges it presents.
I only coach a few people at a time - these are triathletes/cyclists/runners who are motivated enough to train with their own friends or by themselves and are able to stick to a structured program. These athletes must be interested in improving(and probably racing) - this could be triathlons, cycling or running.
I don't charge for coaching and this allows me to pick and choose who I coach.
As I don't have a "squad" I don't suit some people who need a coach to be there with them for individual sessions however I do meet the people I coach for face to face reviews, runs, rides or at races as well as being in constant contact by phone and email.
I live in Redfern and train in the Eastern Suburbs or Sutherland Shire. You can email me at dmcalpin@ozemail.com.au , phone me at home on 9690-0516 or work on 8292-5166 if interested.

Meg Matthews

Meg was forced to become a keen supporter of the club since the rest of her family joined. Since she couldn't beat them, she joined them - more in a support role than an athlete. Having been a keen runner and swimmer in her slightly younger days, she is now a social swimmer and a keen supporter from the sideline as she sips her late and calls "go faster". She is an Accredited Official with Triathlon Australia which has gained valuable points for the Club at Club Champs.
Meg fills the great role of triathlon and duathlon co-ordinator for the club, liasing with the club directors to ensure that the races are run smoothly and safely.
